Masoor Dal, commonly known as red lentils, is a high-protein lentil. These spilt lentils with a vibrant orange-red colour, cook quickly compared to other lentils due to their smaller size and lack of a tough outer husk goes well with a variety of other foods and seasonings. Often cooked with spices, vegetables and sometimes herbs resulting in a comforting stew typically served with rice or flatbread.
